FBN Takes Manhattan! - A Family Forum in Times Square

FBN held another impressive Family Forum, this time in Times Square in NYC. We came to New York to learn from each other, share challenges and ideas, and participate in fun networking experiences. This event fulfilled all those expectations and more!

Another highlight was the unveiling of the recent family business research on trust and the Edelman Trust Barometer - a real eye opener! Jonathan Crystal and Linda Bourn educated us on identifying family and business risk. The closing keynote speaker was Thierry Peugeot – owner of the 2nd largest car manufacturer in Europe. He shared his family’s story of how they stayed resilient and in business together for over 200 years!

Our Thursday night social event was hosted and made possible by a generous donation from Andrew Keyt. We enjoyed mixing and mingling at Current on Pier Sixty overlooking the Hudson Bay and marina. Participants also enjoyed a family business scavenger hunt at Madame Tussauds wax museum on Friday.

If you attended the forum and would like to comment on the event or share something with the other participants, please post here (in the comment bubble) to keep the conversation going and to stay connected.

This FBN North America event in New York was just excellent. One presentation that really got to me was the 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer ... so much that I have been able to get Justin and another partner to present to our family, board and management at our upcoming Board of Directors meeting. Coming out of the presentation in New York I just knew this was a presentation that all of the stakeholders of our family business need to see!!
