Calling all FBN Members – Business Owners, CEOs, Senior Executives, Next-Gen Leaders and Change Agents

Building on the success of last years’ Polaris Leadership Training with Al Gore (PTAG), which was over-subscribed and rated invaluable, this year’s event will be open to all FBN members – creating opportunities for cross-generational dialogue and learning. It will focus on identifying new business opportunities, delivering systemic and scalable impact, strengthening family businesses competitiveness, and improving resilience.

By demand and design, this year’s event will be open to all FBN members – Trailblazers and change-agents (owners, next-gen, business leaders, governors, decision-makers / future decision-makers). We will create opportunities for cross-generational dialogue and learning. We will focus on identifying new business opportunities, delivering systemic and scalable impact, strengthening family businesses competitiveness, and improving resilience.

The Framework
Polaris is a framework to help members deliver on the FBN Pledge for a Sustainable Future.  It presents an opportunity for members to demonstrate that beyond being ‘pro-family’, we are also ‘pro-business’, ‘pro-social’ and ‘pro-environment’ – a purposeful position that enables us to innovate for impact, lead change and build a ‘pro-values’ learning community.

Why you should attend
The role of corporates is being redefined and family businesses, with our inherent focus on long-term success, are well positioned to be vanguards of a business model that is ‘Putting Purpose into Profit’. Yet business leaders know that in a marketplace that is changing faster than ever, what counts as best-in-class leadership yesterday may not cut it tomorrow. The rapid development of new trends and technologies is upending markets and disrupting traditional businesses and whole industries.

The Polaris Impact Forum aims to be the platform for family businesses to stay on top of these advances, focusing on mission-critical family business solutions that:

  • Seize the $12 Trillion opportunity presented by the UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Embrace Technology, Disruption & Change
  • Keep family businesses competitive and resilient
