Family engagement is rooted in family values and culture, is nurtured through genuine communication, and is displayed in the family business and family enterprise. The theme of the Family Forum in Dallas is “Nurturing Family Engagement Across Generations”.  Some families have been successful in this effort and some strive to improve in this area.  Join us to learn from other families and top experts in the field.

Making Your Family Business Succeed Across The Generations

We all know the shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves adage and are working hard to overcome it.  Mitzi Perdue believes the family’s culture is a determining factor in whether a family business continues to be family owned. As a member of both the Sheraton Hotel and Perdue Chicken families, she has a plethora of family business experience.

Join us as Mitzi reveals some of the attitudes and approaches that Frank Perdue and Ernest Henderson (her father and co-founder of the Sheraton Hotel Chain) used to foster a strong family culture of inclusion and engagement. She will share some practical techniques and strategies to create a family culture that supports family members and increases family engagement.  (Read bio)
